My 9 year old daughter, Claire, has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Bolor for more than 3 years. Claire is not a very focused and motivated child, but Ms. Bolor has her own ways to get her interested and engaged. Claire is now at CM level 3; considering her personality and rough starts, I am more than grateful and satisfied. As for Sonor Music School, they have a very efficient team to get everything going smoothly and joyfully. The artful and tasteful studio is just a cherry on the top! :)

I have taken piano lessons for several years at Lafayette Academy of Music and Art which is now under the capable ownership of Bolor Ayush, the director of Sonor Music School. Bolor has created a cozy clean studio with a welcoming entry with seating and an office area. The pianos are exquisite and a joy to play. Each piano is different in style from the other and each has its own unique sound. Because she has played so many pianos in her career, Bolor knows what to look for in a piano and she did a good job in choosing such special instruments. I have had the pleasure of learning from several well-trained and talented piano teachers at this school. Like the pianos, each teacher is unique in her teaching style and each is devoted to the education of her students. Currently, my teacher is Bolor, the school director, who is so patient, well educated since her early childhood on the piano, smart, composed. I am grateful that I have met such outstanding teachers at this school. Therefore, I recommend this school without a moment's hesitation.

My son Steven has been playing piano with Julia for 2 years. Julia is very flexible, and keeps Steven interested in piano playing while helping to develop his interest in composing. We appreciate Julia’s effort through these years. My daughter Stephanie is 10 years old, and has been learning with Natalya for two years since we moved to the Lamorinda area. Natalya is a very experienced piano teacher who keeps Stephanie engaged and focused in her piano studies. Stephanie loves playing with Natalya and has made a lot of progress and won trophies at local piano contests. Sonor Music School is located conveniently in downtown Lafayette. It has awesome rooms with pianos, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a waiting area for parents. It is cozy and clean, and the street parking is easy to find. To top it off, the studio office assistant is very nice and helpful.

It has been a privilege for our son to have Irina as a piano teacher. It is very hard these days to find teachers with such a dedication and passion. Irina has highest music standards and adheres to her teaching principles at every lesson. She combines the best of both Russian piano school and western techniques in bringing the valuable music experiences to our son. With attention to details from fingers and wrist position to how every note is played, she gives enormous energy and demonstrates long-lasting patience during each lesson. It is impressive how much our son is learning during a single class.
