Noah
Mr. Noah Fields
is a dedicated guitarist, educator, and music entrepreneur based in Walnut Creek, California. With an MBA from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College, he has combined his business expertise with his passion for music to build a thriving teaching practice and artistic presence. Leveraging platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, Noah has successfully shared his music with wide audiences and connected with students across the Bay Area. He later established his own teaching agency, Bay Area Guitar Lessons, which quickly grew to attract many aspiring musicians.
As an instructor, Noah continually refines his teaching methods to meet the needs of each student. Drawing on over 17 years of playing experience, he blends traditional techniques with modern approaches, helping students strengthen their rhythm, technique, and musical expression while gaining the confidence to develop their own unique voice. His training includes instruction at ModernTone Studios in Lafayette, the Chicago Joe Jones Band Camp in Atlanta, and mentorship with Doug Doppler, a well-known guitarist worldwide.
In addition to teaching, Noah is an active performer and composer. He has participated in numerous bands and open mic events, and he continues to write original music, including works such as Scattered Pieces. His playing is inspired by legendary rock and blues artists, including John Mayer, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, and Jimi Hendrix.
Noah’s teaching philosophy emphasizes creativity over imitation: rather than learning songs note-for-note, he encourages students to explore the theory, style, and feel behind the music to develop their own authentic sound on the guitar.
